Dominica,
the 'nature island", is the largest (289 square miles) and
most mountainous of the Windward Islands. The island changed
hands between the British and French several times during its
turbulent
history, and some 3,000 of its original inhabitants, the Caribs,
still live within their own Territory in the north-east part
of the island. You can add transfers, day tours, or car rental
to your Dominica exploration. Dominica boasts 365 rivers- one
for each day of the year! |

Tobago is
enjoying an upsurge in popularity, for several good reasons.
Mountain ranges, rivers, mangrove swamps, tropical savannahs,
sandy beaches,
coral seas teeming with colourful fish, rain forests....so much
to see. The pace is more relaxed than its sister island Trinidad,
so explore at your leisure! |

|
Trinidad offers
a fascinating and heterogeneous mixture of Amerindians, Europeans,
Africans, East Asians, Chinese, and Middle Eastern descendants
who all contribute to its vital and energetic culture, as well
as its cuisine. Rolling hills, cool waterfalls, nature preserves,
more than 430 bird species, and a lively entertainment scene,
especially during the Carnival season. A great shopping destination,
too! |

St.
Kitts was originally settled by the
French in 1627. This beautiful island and its sister island
Nevis (birthplace of US founding father Alexander Hamilton)
have been independent since 1983. Scenically gorgeous, with

Martinique is
not only decidedly French, but is actually considered a region
of France, with voting in national elections and membership
in
the
EU. Its
cosmopolitan
capital of Fort de France is home to over 100,000 people and
is a bustling port city full of charm. Visit the pleasant village
of St. Pierre, rebuilt after being totally destroyed in 1902
by the Mt. Pelee volcano. |
